About this role

Parker’s Paws Animal Hospital | Nashville, Tennessee

Exceptional Compensation Annually | Work-Life Balance | Independent Ownership | Future Ownership Potential

Practice Exceptional Medicine. Earn What You Deserve. Have a Life Outside of Work.

At Parker’s Paws Animal Hospital, we believe veterinarians should never have to choose between practicing outstanding medicine, earning an exceptional income, and enjoying their lives outside the hospital.

We are a thriving, locally owned, privately operated veterinary hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, seeking an experienced, compassionate associate veterinarian to join our established team.

We have built our practice around a simple philosophy: Give excellent veterinarians the time, resources, autonomy, and support they need to do their best work.

We are not corporate-owned, and we do not sacrifice our medical standards or workplace culture to meet corporate quotas.

Why Our Associates Love Working Here

Exceptional earning potential

Our associates currently earn an exceptional income through production-based compensation structure (ProSal).

We believe veterinarians who provide excellent medicine deserve to be compensated accordingly.

A schedule designed around quality of life

Our associates enjoy a balanced schedule that typically includes:

Approximately 3–3.5 working days per week
Two days dedicated to appointments
One to two surgery days per week
Only 1–2 Saturday mornings per month, 8:00 AM–noon
No overnight emergency or on-call responsibilities
We recognize that great veterinarians have lives, families, interests, and commitments outside the hospital.

A dedicated team supporting every veterinarian

You will never be expected to do everything yourself.  My doctors do what doctors should do - the support staff does everything that does not require a veterinary license.

Each associate veterinarian works with:

Their own dedicated veterinary assistant
Two additional dedicated support team members and a daily floor manager.

An experienced hospital team committed to efficiency, collaboration, and exceptional patient care
Our staffing structure allows veterinarians to concentrate on diagnosing, treating, performing surgery, and communicating with clients rather than constantly managing technical and administrative tasks.

Exceptional Medicine Without Corporate Restrictions

We have invested in the people, technology (including AI for medical notations), and professional relationships necessary to provide excellent veterinary care.

Our medical resources include:

Digital radiography with access to board-certified radiologists for interpretation
Established relationships with specialty and emergency hospitals throughout Nashville
Access to 24/7 emergency and critical care referral services (we have a Blue Pearl next door!)
A collaborative medical environment that encourages case discussions and thoughtful clinical decision-making
The ability to practice high-quality, individualized medicine with professional autonomy
We believe in doing what is right for the patient—not simply what is most profitable.

Comprehensive Benefits

In addition to excellent earning potential, we offer:

Competitive ProSal compensation
Medical insurance
Dental insurance
Life insurance
401(k) retirement options
Profit-sharing opportunities
A supportive, well-staffed work environment
A predictable schedule designed to prevent burnout
A Rare Opportunity for Future Ownership

One of the most exciting aspects of joining Parker’s Paws is that we are proudly independently owned.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a veterinarian who:

Is passionate about providing exceptional small-animal medicine
Enjoys both clinical appointments and surgery including advanced dentistry.
Values strong client relationships and clear communication
Works collaboratively with technicians, assistants, and fellow veterinarians
Appreciates professional independence and a positive hospital culture
Wants to build a meaningful, financially rewarding, long-term career
An active Tennessee veterinary license, or eligibility for licensure, is required.

Come See What Independent Veterinary Medicine Can Be.

At Parker’s Paws Animal Hospital, we have created a practice where veterinarians are respected as professionals, supported by a strong team, compensated exceptionally well, and encouraged to enjoy their lives outside work.

If you’re an excellent veterinarian looking for an equally excellent place to practice, we’d love to meet you.

All inquiries will be handled confidentially.
