Associate Veterinarian
Full-Time or Part-Time | Stephenville, Texas | Privately Owned Mixed-Animal Practice
A Veterinary Career Built Around You
Are you looking for a veterinary practice where you can practice good medicine, build lasting client relationships, and have a career that fits your life?
We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our privately owned, rural mixed-animal practice in Stephenville, Texas. As an independently owned practice, we value personal relationships, thoughtful medicine, and the ability to make decisions based on what is best for our patients, clients, and team.
Our practice is predominantly canine and feline, with opportunities to work with bovine, equine, and small ruminants for those interested in mixed-animal medicine. We serve a rapidly growing community with deep agricultural roots, a strong equine culture, and clients who value personal relationships with their veterinary team.
Whether you are an experienced veterinarian seeking a better work-life balance or a new graduate looking for mentorship and a supportive place to grow, we would love to talk with you.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?
Privately owned and independently operated—not corporately owned.
Full-time, part-time, and customized scheduling options.
Flexible appointment hours to accommodate your preferred schedule.
Rotating weekends, with no after-hours emergency duty.
Competitive base salary plus production, with earning potential exceeding $150,000.
Paid vacation, holidays, and parental leave.
Continuing education allowance.
Coverage of professional licensing fees, DEA registration, professional dues, and liability insurance.
Mentorship opportunities for new graduates.
Potential future buy-in or ownership opportunity for the right veterinarian.
A relationship-focused practice where you can make a meaningful impact in your community.
The Opportunity
Our goal is to create an environment where veterinarians can practice thoughtful, compassionate medicine while developing the professional relationships and clinical skills that make a career rewarding.
As a privately owned practice, we value the personal connections that make independent veterinary medicine special. We appreciate the flexibility to adapt to individual circumstances, maintain a personal approach to care, and build a practice around shared values rather than a one-size-fits-all model.
Your primary caseload will consist of canine and feline patients, with opportunities to incorporate bovine, equine, and small ruminant medicine based on your interests and experience. You can focus primarily on small-animal practice or explore a broader mixed-animal caseload.
We value clinical judgment, clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to build trust with clients over time. We want our veterinarians to feel supported in their decisions, encouraged to grow, and empowered to develop their own approach to practicing excellent medicine.
Future Ownership Opportunity
Interested in becoming a practice owner someday? We'd love to explore that possibility with you.
For the right veterinarian, there may be an opportunity for future buy-in or ownership. We are interested in building lasting professional relationships and would welcome a conversation with someone who sees themselves growing with the practice over time.
Whether your goal is to focus on excellent clinical medicine, develop your professional interests, or eventually take on an ownership role, we want to understand your vision and explore how we can build a mutually rewarding future together.
What You'll Do
Provide high-quality medical care to canine and feline patients, including wellness, preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment of medical conditions.
