The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Emergency DVM to join our fast-paced referral and emergency hospital. In this role, you will be at the front lines of veterinary medicine, managing complex cases and providing life-saving interventions. You will collaborate closely with our specialists and highly skilled support staff to ensure every patient receives comprehensive, seamless care.

Key Responsibilities

Expert Emergency Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and stabilize patients in critical condition, managing everything from physical trauma and cardiovascular shock to complex endocrinopathies and respiratory distress.

Surgical Intervention: Perform emergency soft-tissue surgeries and other urgent procedures as required.

Collaborative Medicine: Engage in a highly integrated medical environment by working alongside on-site specialists and referring veterinarians. You will actively participate in daily rounds, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and shared clinical expertise.

Empathetic Communication: Bridge the gap between advanced medicine and client needs by clearly explaining disease pathophysiology and recommendations. You will skillfully navigate the balance between "Gold Standard" care and a client's financial constraints, ensuring every family feels heard and supported.

Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and assist in the clinical training of technicians and assistants. For experienced doctors, there are opportunities to mentor the next generation through the North Springs Mentorship Program.

Requirements

DVM or equivalent degree.

Ability to work overnight shifts

Passing score on the NAVLE and a valid license to practice in the state of Colorado.

A self-motivated drive to advance your career and a willingness to both learn and teach within a collaborative environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $150,000 + production. Annual bonus is available for DVMs working a full-time overnight schedule.

    Estimated total annual compensation: $195,000 – $225,000 (based on historical performance).

Work-Life Balance: one month (144 hours) of PTO per year plus holiday bonuses.
